Pea and Ham Soup

A classic hearty soup


Ingredients

  • 2 white onions, diced

  • 300g frozen peas

  • 3 bay leaves

  • 250g cooked ham/gammon (leave whole)

  • 300ml chicken or veg stock


Directions

Serves 2

  1. Add the onions, stock, bay leaves and gammon to the slow cooker, season well

  2. Cook on high for 2 hours or low for 4 hours

  3. Remove the gammon and set aside. Add the peas to the slow cooker and cook for a further 45 mins on high.

  4. Remove the bay leaves and blend the soup. I used a hand blender.

  5. Shred the gammon

  6. Serve the soup and scatter over the gammon
